B.P Singh was the 14th Governor of Sikkim. He was appointed as an IAS in 1964 in Assam- Meghalaya Cadre and has also served as the Executive Director and Ambassador at the World Bank during 1999-2002 representing India, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He has been one of the founder members of the Development Gateway Foundation and member, Global Enviornmental Facility, Washington DC. He is also the writter of books like 'Bahudha and the post 9/11 World ' and 'The problem of Change: A study of North - East India.
